Anna Dzombak, Ph.D.

she/her/hers

Anna is passionate about working with young children and their caregivers through a combination of individual and family-focused therapy that builds connection, skills, and empowerment.

Dr. Dzombak received her clinical psychology doctoral degree from Clark University. She trained in a variety of treatment settings, including rural integrated primary care, child community mental health centers, college counseling, and therapeutic preschool classrooms. Her clinical interests include supporting young children struggling with behavioral concerns, emotion dysregulation, anxiety, and trauma, all within the context of their family and community environment. Dr. Dzombak utilizes an acceptance-based and developmentally-informed approach that is tailored to each family, drawing on play therapy techniques, attachment theory, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Additionally, she has received specialized training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Circle of Security (COS).

In her free time, Dr. Dzombak enjoys spending time with her loved ones, exploring new hobbies, and supporting local theatre.

I believe that we all are seeking connection, belonging, and understanding with others and the world—and children are no exception. My approach to care is founded in the belief that all behavior serves a function and children are constantly learning how to be in the world. My goal is to walk alongside families with compassion, humor, and non-judgment as they foster meaningful change in their lives.
